“My friend Brutus” is a street show, of actors, musicians and puppets, about the brutality of life in the streets of our current cities.
It is starring in Brutus, a two-meter-high, two-and-a-half meter bear and 400 kg weight, curious, affable and fun, who likes to embrace people, sniff out what they eat and scratch their backs on the trees and the walls.
In the first part of the show we will see how Brutus’s life goes by doing a parade accompanied by cheerful circus artists who make him dance with their accordion, and with all the children.
In the second part of the show, Brutus makes friendship with a homeless woman who will have to fight vultures businessman, police officers and ruthless tourists.
This is a show based on the films of Charles Chaplin, in the books by Steven Pinker and, above all, on the explanations we have to make our children in the face of the harshness of what we see in today’s cities.
