Presentation

“Mozartland” is a concert-show that invites the audience to sit in the playroom of little Mozart and his sister Nannerl, played by two children of flesh and blood. There, with live music by the composer in charge of a string and flute quartet, three actors stage with masks the folk tales that most amused the little genius of Salzburg.

Synopsis

Brothers Wolfgang and Nannerl Mozart enter the playroom of their house in Salzburg, in the middle of a musical party, and discover that something very special has happened: a lot of forest rabbits have entered the room!

The two children play with the rabbits and bring into their game the protagonists of the stories they liked best: the frog, the pampered princess, the king, the hood, the wolf, the grandmother, Hansel and Grettel, the witch and even Bremen musicians.

With their play, the two Mozart brothers will try to transform the stories of the tales and their protagonists into beauty, truth and goodness, in the same way that, years later, Wolfgang does with his music, and he became, forevermore, our world in “Mozartland.”
