Martí Doy studied at the puppetry department of the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona.
He has designed and built the scenography, puppets and costumes of many shows directed by Marc Hervàs, such as “Cavallet de cartró”, “A l’arca a les vuit”, “Un te a la menta”, “La tempesta”, “Sis Joans” and “El llop ferotge”.
He is the creator of the puppet Mic and his friends for TV3, who are the main characters of the MIC3 in the Súper 3 children’s program.
He was responsible for designing and building the puppets of the work “Primera història d’Esther”, by Salvador Espriu, directed by Oriol Broggi, at the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, and “La Ventafocs, potser sí, potser no”, by Josep M. Benet i Jornet, directed by Marc Hervàs, also at the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya.
He was previously a founding member of the L’Avexutxu company along with Rosa Pou and Xavier Duch, where he staged different shows like “Contes de Limpopo”, based on stories by Rudyard Kipling and “El Sarpent Sapient” from a fable by Ramon Llull.
